Course Description:
Discovering Self through Sikh Art Therapy is a unique journey
of self-discovery and creative expression, tailored for Sikh learners. In this
course, students will explore various art styles and techniques while delving
into aspects of their own identity and spirituality. Through guided activities
and reflective crafts, Students will not only enhance their artistic skills but
also gain deeper insights into themselves and their connection to Sikh culture
and values.

Collage

In this session, students will embark on a creative journey exploring the
dynamic art of collage-making. Guided by their imagination and intuition,
students will experiment with the interplay of textures, shapes, and hues,
unlocking endless possibilities for self-expression. Through the tactile
experience of tearing, cutting, and arranging paper fragments, they will
discover the transformative power of art to transcend boundaries and redefine
perceptions.
Week 3:
Clay Shaping:
In
this enriching session, students will delve into the tactile world of clay
shaping, where their hands become the tools of creation and imagination knows
no bounds. Through the malleable medium of clay, students will explore the art
of sculpting, molding, and shaping to bring their creative visions to life.
Week 4:
Monochrome:
In
this captivating black and white art session, students will immerse themselves
in the timeless allure of monochromatic expression. Through the stark contrast
of light and shadow, they will explore the power and elegance of grayscale
tones, creating evocative artworks that captivate the imagination.
Week 5:
Rock
Painting:
In this captivating rock painting session, students will
explore the intersection of art and nature as they transform ordinary rocks
into captivating works of creativity. Guided by their imagination and armed
with brushes and paints, they will unleash their artistic talents onto the
canvas of smooth stones, experimenting with various techniques and styles.
Week 6:
Pointillism:
Using simple tools and guided by their intuition, they will
meticulously apply dots to canvas, discovering how this repetitive process
fosters focus and relaxation. Drawing inspiration from indigenous traditions
and contemporary styles, students will experiment with colors, patterns, and

About Yourself:
In this personalized mini book creation session, students
will embark on a journey of self-discovery and artistic expression as they
craft their own autobiographical narratives. Using a variety of materials such
as paper, markers, and collage elements, students will reflect on their unique
identities, interests, and experiences, translating them into visual and
written form. Through the process of storytelling and bookmaking, students will
gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their place in the world,
creating tangible keepsakes that celebrate their individuality and journey.
